I was in university when Y2K went down. You know, when the 1990’s turned into 2000 and we thought all technology was gonna crash because it couldn’t handle the full numeric millennium change? And then a bunch of the nerdiest nerds (love y’all! I was nerdy too!) worked tirelessly & quietly in the background to make sure that didn’t happen? Yeah, that Y2K.
Y’all are running around talking about 4K video but I remember when there was a R&B group named B2K that dropped their debut album in 2002. That’s how top-of-mind the whole change into an entire new millennium was.
And now we’re 26 years in and crashing out all over the place. Again.
